Sponsor Capital is looking for a trainee to join our team for a ~4-month full-time internship in fall 2026, spring 2027 or fall 2027.
Sponsor Capital is one of Finland’s most established private equity firms, focused on long-term development of Finnish companies together with entrepreneurs and management. Since 1997, we’ve partnered with over 40 companies across a range of industries. We recently raised our sixth fund.
The position
You will work as a valued member of our low-hierarchy investment team and gain hands-on exposure to the PE industry:
• Contribute to the evaluation of ongoing transactions
• Take part in the active development of our portfolio companies
• Screen potential new investment ideas
• Join meetings with management teams, advisors and other stakeholders
• Conduct in-depth industry research and build financial models to support decision-making
The internship is full-time (with flexibility as required) and offers competitive compensation
What we are looking for
• Strong academic background and 3+ years of university studies
• Genuine interest in private equity, transactions, and business development
• Prior internship experience in e.g., investment banking, consulting, or growth companies
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Fluency in Finnish and English
